My new favorite way to add a professional look to my printable tags!!!
I recently purchased a Fiskars Tag Maker, it is a super handy little tool that lets you cut out tags, hole punch them and add eyelets, and all you need is just the one lever punch! The tool works great with the Fiskars brand eyelets, I am hoping to try out different ones to see what other brands work with this tag maker, but for now I have found that it works best with the Fiskars brand eyelets.
I have quite a few tag sets in my Etsy shop that work great with this tag maker too! Including this new set for Handmade Home Decor makes!
Everything you need to get started
I found mine a Joann and used a coupon which made it a great deal
And of course a printable tag 🙂 and handmade item to add them to.
I have quite a few tags in my shop that work great with this tag maker, I have listed a few below.
I have recently made this super cute crochet wall hanging by DENImade Designs, the Juniper Wall Hanging.
The tags shown in this post are from my “Handmade Home” Collection. I was inspired to design a tag set that was specific to items made for the home. My maker friend Deni created a new wall hanging pattern and I knew I wanted a special tag to go with it. As I was designing the tag I thought a set for handmade home decor was in order so I started making tags specific to the wall hanging and then also ones that could be used on other home decor makes.
The Juniper Wall Hanging by Deni Made, is such a quick and easy project that you can do in a weekend and it is easy to memorize. You can find more details on the pattern in her Ravelry Store, there is a link to the pattern for free on her blog or you can purchase the pattern as a PDF for a small fee, just visit her Ravelry Store DeniMadeDesigns.
I made a quick little video showing my process for punching the tags and adding the eyelets, it is just a really quick video showing the process. So that you can see how the lever works.
And Finally the FREEBIE tag I mention in the title 🙂
When I made my Juniper Wall Hanging I had made it to give as a gift to my mother and as I was packaging it I thought I need some care details to share with her. I decided instead of adding them as a hand written note I would design a care card that went with this set. And as I was designing it I thought I should add it to my blog for anyone else making this wall hanging as gifts or to sell.
The card is specific to a wall hanging but the care instructions can work with pretty much any wall hanging made using yarn, jute or rope. I also added a little blank space that can either be cut off if not needed, or to add additional care instructions.
I also have a newsletter, I send out emails periodically with what is new on the blog, never miss a freebie printable or Savlabot Pattern by signing up with my newsletter today 🙂
PLEASE DO NOT modify this file and re-sell as a digital download, or as printed versions of this file for sale. The intended use of this item is as a tag put on items you make and sell or give as gifts. DO NOT modify and add to a pattern as a free digital download. I really enjoy making free printable and sharing them for free but have found a few of my free items be used in other ways than the intended use.
