You can also ch4 and join with a slst to form a ring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 1: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 sc into the MAR. Join with a slst. (8)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 2: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0ch1, 2sc into each st around. Join with a slst. (16)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 3: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch1, 1sc in the same st, 2sc in the next st. *1sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st, rep from * to end. Join with a slst. To make it easier to measure the base I turn the work so the wrong side is showing and lay flat.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Round 6: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch1, sc-blo into each st around. Join with a slst. (32) See special abbreviations towards the end of post for pictures of the sc-blo<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 7: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch2, skip the next st, work 1 sc into the next st, * ch1, skip the next st, work 1 sc into the next st, rep from * to last 2 sts, ch1, skip the next st, join round with a slst. (32 = 16 sc, 16 ch1 spaces)<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Images for the Bobble Stitch and the Partial Bobble Stitch are towards the end of this post.<\/p>\n<p><b>Round 8: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch2, 1 bobble into the space between each sc until last space. In the last space do a partial bobble. join round with a slst into the space between the ch2 and the first bobble. (16 bobbles)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 9: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch2, work 1 sc into the space between the bobble * ch1, work 1 sc into the space between the bobble, rep from * to the last bobble, ch1, join round with a slst. (32 = 16 sc, 16 ch1 spaces)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 10: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rep round 8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 11: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rep round 9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 12: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rep round 8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 13: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ch1, sc into each st across. In this round you will sc into the top of the bobble and the space between each bobble, join round with a slst. (32)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Round 14: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0slst into the back loop of each st across.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pull yarn through, cut yarn and weave in all yarn tails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>For a seamless join, weave your yarn tail over the first slst before weaving in the yarn tail and tying off. If you cut the yarn after completing the last slst from the final round and pull your yarn through you can take the yarn and stitch over the first slip stitch of the round for a seamless join. Insert darning needle using the eye, this makes it a bit easier to weave in. 2. Stitch over the first slst highlighted in blue. 3. The bobble stitch combines the technique of the cluster stitch and shell technique. Shells are usually made using double crochet stitches and are formed by working several stitches into the same stitch (or space). Clusters are formed by working several stitches into different stitches then joining the tops into one stitch. The bobble stitch combines these techniques by working double crochet stitches up to the last yarn over into the same stitch, then joining the tops into a single top.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this pattern you will be creating a bobble stitch by crocheting 3 double crochets up to the last yarn over into a chain 1 space then combining them into one stitch at the top. Once you have 3 partial double crochets on your hook, grab your working yarn and pull it through all 4 loops on hook. 4. Ch1 to complete the bobble.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>The Partial Bobble<\/strong> is pretty much the same as the regular bobble, you will do 2 double crochets up to the last yarn over then pull your working yarn through 3 loops on your hook. Slip Stitch into the top of the first bobble (highlighted in blue) to join in the round.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember, the ch2 at the beginning of each round of bobbles is the last part of the last bobble of the round. For the last bobble you will do a partial bobble, 2 double crochets up to the yarn over into a chain 1 space, then join the round with a slip stitch.
