Pint Cozy PrintablesThe stitch in this pattern

For this pattern I use a Cluster-V stitch, it is slightly modified to work in the round.
Cluster-V Stitch: Double crochet two stitches together, ch1, double crochet two stitches together in the same space.
I followed this video for the cluster-v st, but did ch1 instead of ch2 between the stitches that form the cluster-v stitch.
Cluser V Stitch Flat TutorialLet's Get Started
- The ch1 at the beginning of a round DOES NOT count as a stitch.
- The ch2 at the beginning of each Cluster – V round counts as part of the first Cluster – V st.
Make a MAR
Round 1: 11 hdc into MAR. Join with a slst. (11)
Round 2: Ch1, 2hdc into each st. Join with a slst. (22)
Round 3: Ch1, *1 hdc into the next st, then 2 hdc into next st. Repeat from * until end, join with a slst. (33)
Round 4: Ch1, sc into each st. Join with a slst. (33)
The base of your work will start curling, that is normal for this pattern.
Round 5: Ch1, sc-blo into each stitch. Join with a slst (33)
Round 6: ch1, 1hdc-blo into each st. Join with a slst (33)
Round 7: ch2, 1dc into the same st, ch1, dc2tog into the same st, *sk2, 1 cluster-v st, into the next st. repeat from * to end. Join in the ch1 space of the first cluster v with a slst. (11 Clusters)
Round 8: ch2, 1dc into the ch1 space of the first cluster-v st from the previous round., ch1, dc2tog into the same st, *1 cluster-v st, into the ch1 space of the cluster-v st from the previous round. repeat from * to end.. Join in the ch1 space of the first cluster v with a slst. (11 Clusters)
Round 9-10: repeat round 8.
You will have 4 rounds of cluster-v stitches.
Round 11: ch1, *2 sc into the ch1 space of the cluster-v st from the previous round, 1sc into the space between each cluster-v st, rep from *until end of round, join with a slip st. (33)
Round 12: sc – blo into each stitch, join with a slst. (33)
Round 13: sc into each st, join with a slst. (33)
Cut yarn and weave in all yarn tails.
Cup Cozy fits most Ice Cream Pint Cozies.

Modifications
This pattern is easily modified to be shorter or taller. If you want a cozy for a Mason Jar, add one extra repeat of round 8 or you can add an extra round of sc-blo stitches to the top. If you find that your cozy is too tall, do one less repeat of the cluster stitch rounds.
This pattern also works up great using 2 colors. I worked rounds 1-6 In one color (Color A) then for the cluster-v rounds I used a second color (Color B), then for the rounds 11-13 I switched to Color A.
I hope you like this pattern, I really find Ice Cream Pint cozies to be super handy. My daughter also likes using them, I think she likes having a pint of Ice cream to herself too 🙂
