Hat Not Hate Free Beanie Tags
I am knitting hats this year for #HATNOTHATE, it is Lion Brand Yarn Company’s anti-bullying campaign where they encourage people to make and wear handmade blue hats to help increase awareness of the terrible impact of bullying. This year they are collecting 25,000 blue hats by August 1st to distribute to US schools to wear during the month of October which is National Bullying Prevention Month. When reading the requirements for donating hats they ask that you include a tag that states what the hat is made of, that way when handing out hats they can be sure not to give out a hat to someone who may have an allergy to certain fibers. I made up a few tags to include with the hats I will be donating and thought others might want to use them as well so I am linking them below as PDF downloads.
They are 100% free for you to use with your donated hats.
I decided to do two different tags. Below is the hat not hate tag where you can put the fiber content and add your name. The PDF is 8.5″ x 11″ and has 9 tags of the same design.
I also did the same tag but a bit larger. This PDF is 8.5″ x 11″ and has 4 tags of the same design.
The last tag is a care tag that allows you to highlight or circle the best way for the person to care for their tag. This PDF is 8.5″ x 11″ and has 9 of the same design.
I also made a tag for a lever punch, this one has a pretty small space for writing in the fiber content if there is more than one type of fiber used, but thought I would still include it here as a freebie to download.

wear, and post handmade blue hats, adding #HatNotHate when sharing on social platforms.
